It's with those eyes.

It's with those eyes...

That he crawls into my bed before 7am telling me to 'wake up beautiful sister'

That he brings me water and pats my head when I'm not feeling the best.

That he asks 'i wonder what it is like in heaven...'

That he picks flowers for his 'girlfriend' at his school.

That he says a prayer before he goes to bed.

That he finds joy in things like Lego and Star Wars but reading and writing too.

That he almost never goes to bed without telling my mum that, "i love you too the old house (sigh) and back a thousand billion times."

That he is stubborn, very energetic, star wars obsessed but charming and divine all at the same time.

My lovely little boy blue, one day some girl is going to be unbelievably lucky to have you.

It's Tuesday. {Communal Global}

And this is what my Tuesday looks like:

This lovely little flower sitting in the middle of our dinner table, with Alex being a good boy and doing his homework behind it... :)

What helps me relax?

Being behind the lens.

Hot chocolate.

Pretty music.

Lying in bed.

Have a happy Tuesday and do drop over to Communal Global and check out the other 'Tuedays.'

Also, visit lovely Elyssa's blog. She is a beautiful photographer.

This and that.

Some un-shared pretties from Minnie Moo's picnic a few weeks ago.

{I'm sorry but Lindsay's earrings...aren't they just D-vine!?}

And to finish it off...Miss Minshine. Because as i said "doesn't she just shine!?"

Let me know which one you like the best! :) I don't i could choose...

And lastly. Something i don't usually do. A video. Yes, a video recorded on this day last year, of my beautiful cousins. {And Godson.} Mr. Charlie just found something SO fascinating about the stretchy thing i use for my shoulder exercises....and Mr. Jack was trying to sneak up in the next room with out being caught. I remember this day like it was yesterday :)

Don't you just want to squish them?!

Hope you have all had lovely weekends..

April and Emily.

I did it.

I shot in manual.

And I didn't stuff up, the pictures came out just as i wanted!

Hope you enjoy these as much as i do!

{In her natural state, hair all over her face. I took ones with the hair off her face, but i like this better...}

And finally...something a little different. The last shot of the day (Emily running away from my poor lens,) i shot this as she skipped inside.

Coupled with a quote from my favourite photographer :)

So, which one of those thousands of images that i just posted is your favourite?

...Hope you are all having lovely weeks.

365 short but long days.

Written exactly one year today:

I want so badly to say this has been easy, that it has been fun, that it was a lovely day and we ate pizza and we laughed and we packed up and that I am excited. I want so badly to see the positive in all of this, and know that a better outcome is coming. But it’s new, and it’s different, and I just can’t…not tonight at least. Most of my most precious things lie in cardboard boxes. The day is over and tonight I sleep under a different roof, with a different feel. What is so strange is the unfamiliar smell, like I don’t know this place. I don’t know this house, this neighbourhood, this bed, even. In time, though, I hope I get to know this place. In time, I hope I can call this place my ‘home’ and not my ‘house.’

365 short but long days later, and here i am, on this very night which is the 2oth of April.

And reading this tonight, all i can say is, time is your mender.

Time will not fill in the holes, or erase your memories but it will at least cover it, and make the impossible seem possible.

And my image for tonight: Taken one year ago, on my point and shoot camera. I chose it because of the blurriness of it all, mirroring perfectly what i felt in the moment i took it.

I heart Faces.

This week's theme is "I Heart Collages." And so i do. I love combining my images, so this theme is perfect.

My collage is of Miss Lucy.

Hope you love it as much as i do :) There is just something so soft about her eyes, and the colours. And that gorgeous dress...

Head on over to I heart Faces for more entries.

Alex. {Or Mushmoo}

Charmer. Sweet nature. Hugger, not kisser. Devil when running on no sleep. Big brown eyes. Little. My most photographed sibling. All kinds of lovely.

Conversations, these days, go like this:

Me: Aleeeeeeex (while opening my camera bag)

Alex: No! No photos, not tonight.

Me: *Insert bribe here*

Alex: Only one.

Please tell me that he's not getting sick of the lens in his face. Hmm, i think i need stronger bribing tactics, I'm gonna run out soon.

And lastly: A new edit (done in Lightroom..and ohmygaahiloveitsomuchbestprogrammeever)

Edited with Ms.Scalzi's "Honeymilk" action.

Amelia. {otherwise known as dimples}

Doesn't she just shine?

To {possibly} one of the most photogenic girls i know:

Happiest of Birth Days to you, my lovely one.

Minnie Moo, I hope all your wishes came and continue to come true.

This post also happens to be my 100th post! What a way to celebrate :)

Love you, darling girl.

PS. She had the most beautiful picnic to celebrate, and these pictures are only a sneak peek. Way more to come, stay tuned...

A bit of this, and a bit of that.

Two more from our shoot on Friday Afternoon:

{Please ignore the slight blurriness :( One day..I will defeat blogger...}

At the end of the session, i took this...i just love something about the colours, and of course, who doesn't love a good old leg shot... :)

And finally, Mr Alexiloo, this evening. In his natural state:

Hope you all had wonderful anything exciting??!

In every sense.

These pictures are wow. They made me 'wow' for a long time.

Miss Ella, Lucy, Alana and I ventured up to our new favourite look out this afternoon {despite the cloudy weather} to take some photos.

This is what came out of it.

There are many, many more that will most likely be posted over the next few days, but just another i want to add in. Ella and I had a lovely lazy morning together today, making lunch, watching DVD's, so when Miss Lucy and Alana showed up looking like they did, we decided we should stay behind the camera...however, we stepped in front long enough for this shot. And oh how i love her so, I am lucky to call her my bestest friend.

More to come....I am sure of it. They are just too photogenic...

Enjoy your Friday :)

P.S Thank-you to everyone who is commenting my blog, it honestly means a lot, and encourages me to keep posting, so thank-you, so much.

From the darling SuperPrincess photos way back in February {was that really two months ago!?} And a re-done shot of Lucy from last week.

I tried to play around with one of my new favourite quotes which {if it can't be seen} is:

"We do not remember days, we remember moments."

I think it sums up photography. You may not remember the exact date you shot the photo, but you'll remember details from the shoot, crystal clear... :)

No named.

My creativity is drained today.

You see, I went to the dentist to have a cavity filled. {Never, ever, ever, ever had one before}

And to my surprise, he told me it the hole was MASSIVE.

So i had a needle, and lost all feeling in my lips and jaw which resulted in some pretty disgusting attempts at eating later {which i am sure, if i was in a better mood, would have been down right hilarrrrious, but at that point and to me, it was not.}

Cavities are not fun. Have you ever had one??? That terrible drilling noise just makes me cringe.

So anyways, now here i sit, my poor innocent tooth crying out in pain, my camera untouched because at my one ounce of motivation to take pictures i opened the curtain and it was raining. Oh the joys of the oncoming season of Winter.

So for tonight, an old image, re-vamped...What do you think? Isn't the lighting just marvellous?

Also, if you are even bothered reading this, please, please, please, oh please, leave me a comment. Don't be shy :) I adore reading them, and they do make my day. I know, by my hit counter, and my previous beautiful comments, that people visit my blog and that I'm not just a loony typing away to nobody, so please leave me a comment if you visit.

Happy Wednesday :)

"Sometimes you have to be apart from the people you love, but that doesn’t make you love them any less. Sometimes it makes you love them more."

How divine is that quote? And so true. A few images for you all tonight, that haven't been posted yet. First, these beautiful Pink lilies i received from lovely Louise at school on my birthday. How gorgeous are they!?

Next are some shots of Alex, taken the same day i found him sneaking chocolate...

What's your favourite quote of all time?

I have so many, i need to make a book of them, i honestly LIVE by quotes :)

Happy Easter.

My lovely Godson, Charlie and his brother Jack, at Grandpa's for an Easter Lunch. {Why oh why are the images so not sharp when i upload them to here!}

How did you spend your Easter? Eating? Easter egg hunt?

Well, Happy Easter to my beautiful readers, family and friends. Be safe, and don't consume too much chocolate :)

Have a beautiful rest of your weekends...

Caught. {Communal global competition}

My image of today:

This is: Babysitting Mr. Alex. Mum specifically told me to keep him off the chocolate in the fridge, because of the huuuge amounts of chocolate he will get and consume tomorrow. Of course, however, i turned my back for a second, and this is where i found him...

See the other brilliant entries at the beautiful...

If you live to be a hundred, I want to live to be a hundred minus one day so I never have to live without you.” - Shared from Lucy tonight, driving in the car to the lookout.

Her old school Canon, how amazing is it!?

And i just have to share this 'snap of happy' that Lucy took herself. It's myself and Rosemary, taken this afternoon.

And to Lucy; from me to you: "Promise me that you'll always remember: You're braver than you believe, and stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think."
